The foliage of heuchera “Black Pearl” is easily in my top 10! The contrast of the glossy “black” top of the leaf with the magenta/purple underside is extraordinary. It’s amazing in containers particularly in autumn when vibrant pinks and purples are hard to find. The contrast of the two colors is breathtaking. Thank you nature, you are genius.

How I feel about this bluebird Autumn day after five straight days of rain in Boston!
Switching out Summer containers to Fall can be so painful! Every time I show up to make the switch, clients lament the loss of their vibrant summer plantings (which in most cases are still thriving!).
UNFORTUNATELY, their days are numbered with cold nights setting in. FORTUNATELY, you don’t have to give up brilliant color for Fall! Loving the vibrancy of these and can’t wait for the purple plumes on the grasses!

These really need to pop because they are nestled in gorgeous antique rhododendrons and seen from every angle from one of the most beautiful roads in Wellesley.

⁉️ I’ve received several comments asking how this was done. There’s no tricky material like Styrofoam or chicken wire it’s just plants, pumpkins and soil. I nestle the pumpkins into the soil and I plant the plants into the soil around them. I have done these the past few years and they last beautifully.

QUESTION ANSWERED: These were from Fall 2022. I don’t start fall planting in Boston until 2nd week of September. They did amazing all season (kale, euphorbia and pansies are fall rockstars for longevity into colder temps)! The chamacyparis shrubs were gorgeous for two more seasons.

November 2 and these Aster “showstopper” are just getting started! The aster is my 💜 plant for Fall. Their saturated, vivid, color ignite Fall containers. The aptly named “showstopper” is a late bloomer with beautiful buds and blossoms that perform non-stop.

The Overalls!!
I have received more questions/compliments about these overalls than any item of clothing I’ve ever worn (which is kinda sad if I think about it 😂). They’re by Dovetail, a company run by women who make workwear for women. So incredibly comfortable with a tiny bit of stretch, tons of pockets, reinforced in the right places and made to fit women (you can select your waist and inseam!). I have them in three colors and if you know me you know they are my uniform. The Maven X pant is also amazing. I rarely post personal stuff on social media but I promised to share this info. (I don’t own a full length mirror so this is the best I could do 🤷🏻♀️)

This was one of my earliest fall installations . This property is so breathtaking it needed simple, classic plantings so nothing detracts.
